Gameplay Mechanics
How does the Fold mechanic work?
The Fold mechanic is Warigami's unique unit production system:
- Prime: Can fold any unit or building type
- Pupils: Can fold basic and mid-tier units when posted
- Proteges: Can fold advanced units and buildings once researched
- Resource Consumption: Each fold consumes Paper, Pencilcore, or Paint
- Visual Process: Watch as flat resources transform into 3D units
Why can't I select my combat units?
This is by design! Combat units are controlled through the Playbook Projector building:
- Strategic Focus: Reduces micromanagement and emphasizes tactical planning
- Group Commands: Issue orders to unit types or formations, not individuals
- AI Coordination: Units work together intelligently based on your commands
- Scalability: System handles large armies without overwhelming complexity
What happens if my Prime dies?
Game Over! The Prime is your most critical unit:
- Losing your Prime means immediate defeat
- Always keep your Prime protected and away from dangerous combat
- Use your Prime strategically for folding rather than fighting
- Consider this when positioning during fold operations
